Two types of authentication are available:
- Username and password authentication: This method requires the user to enter a username and password to access the proxy. This information is specified in the HTTP Proxy-Authentication header when sending a request. This is the most commonly used method for resident proxies.
- IP address authentication: This method allows users to authenticate based on their IP address, which is pre-added to the whitelist in the proxy service control panel. In this case, there is no need to use a username and password, as access is granted automatically when the IP address is matched.
Both methods provide security and access control, depending on the user’s needs and preferences.
